A few things about moi

My name is Renee. I only just recently figured out my last name (after a long path of poverty, foster care, adoption and impending divorce). I chose the surname of DeMont, the name someone listed on my birth certificate, because I like the sound, and its the one that came before all of the other. I'm the proud grateful mama of twins! (a double blessing I refer to as my pride and joy). They are juniors in high school. Ugh! Turned fifty last year (double ugh!) ,sold my half of a biomed company I worked twenty years to build, and now I have choices. I also am trying to get my head around the fact that soon I will be alone. For now, I choose to write in a sincere effort to reconcile my past with my present. Hopefully, through this cathartic process my second half will be led by my soul's desire, rather than by my fears and doubts of the first half. I like naps near fireplaces, tasty spontaneous lunches with friends, Love of all kinds, droplets of rain, being a good daughter to my wonderful father, my children's giggles when they make each laugh, taking adventures around the world, receiving out of the blue texts from an old friend, and iced tea wth extra ice. I'm a blog reading fanatic, Facebook keeps me connected to those precious folk I truly care about, I desperately want to see and work at ending childhood hunger, and I'd like to get a massage once in awhile, but the dog needs me--like ALL THE TIME. Love yourselves, love each other, hug snugly, kiss tenderly, and smile joyfully whenever you can. That alone is enough.
